A deeper look into the sign, the season, and what it means for all of us.

For the past 2000 years, we have been in the age of Pisces, but recently, on December 21st, 2020, Saturn and Jupiter were conjunct and we moved into the next two-millennium-long cycle, known as the “Age of Aquarius”.

So what does this mean? For the next two months Saturn and Jupiter will continue to be connected and in sync with one another, influencing harmonious big changes in large-scale life events, tragedy, education, and law. So basically, after the whirlwind of 2020, our next astrological cycle will be continuing the shifts and cultural movements brought about in the past year. The age of Aquarius will propel this astrological shift into essentially its groundbreaking “finale”.

As far as the sign itself goes, a good amount of astrology lovers either admire or despise the sign of Aquarius. It’s the sign that makes up our generation’s share of shitty ex-partners and political revolutionaries, usually with nothing in between. Aquarius is commonly misunderstood as a sign. Many think Aquarians are purely relaxed and emotionally reserved. But with deeper research into the traits of the sign and it’s planetary rule, Aquarians have a surprising amount of depth and layers, on top of their go-with the flow appearance. The sign of Aquarius is a free-spirited yet guarded sign, filled with empathy, and out of the box social behavior. One can usually see this in an Aquarius through their having traits such as a deep need to stray from the common path or intense independence.

Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, which in astrology is nicknamed “The Awakener” due to the planet's running themes of round liberation, the need for change, and not abiding by societal norms. As you may know, the Aquarius season takes place at the beginning of the new year, starting on January 20th, and ending on February 19th, 2021. Many astrologers look at each sign as a separate stage of life, making Aquarius the oldest and most wise.

This season will give all signs of the zodiac a moment to sit back and observe the strange reality we all stand in currently, but only if used for your advantage. It will be a time of reflection for the hectic and intense year behind us. Aquarius season will provide a few weeks to catch up with yourself, reconnect with your practice, and emotionally prepare for the months ahead. This is also a great time to get some essential shadow work done, and dig deep into what this past year brought out in you, and how to heal. Although it offers a moment of relaxation, the season is also great for deep contemplation.

The Aquarius season of 2021 will bring us all an existential, yet necessary moment in time, to put everything in perspective, giving us time to rest, breathe, and take care of ourselves and our minds. The aspects and depth of the Aquarius sign are perfectly timed with this moment of peace we all have been needing.

We wish you a beautiful Aquarius season full of growth and prosperity, and make sure to use it to your advantage!
